THEY BOTH REACHED FOR THE GUN: CHICAGO
This piece was done in collaboration as part of a series of musical presentations using light at Rutgers University. For this song, we wanted to explore how light could communicate Billy Flynn’s slow seduction of his audience at a press conference, bombarding them with an exciting fiction rather than the truth. This incorporated ideas like the flashing of cameras, the harsh light of an interrogation, and the bright lights of a Vaudeville show.
