PUBLIC RELATIONS: SMASH

This piece was done in collaboration as part of a series of musical presentations using light at Rutgers University. We aimed to use light to highlight the public life of Marilyn Monroe, the social dynamics of her presence at a press conference, and the way she treats the press conference as a continuation of her performance as an actress. Cameras and marquee lights associate with old Hollywood were among our biggest inspirations for lighting this song.
